The clock tower was originally part of the Kowloon Terminal of the Kowloon-Canton Railway. It was built in 1915 with red bricks and granite in the Edwardian classical revival architectural style. There are clocks on all four sides and a lightning rod on the roof. The entire Kowloon Terminal is supported by Roman columns with a triangular roof, which is quite magnificent and comparable to European train stations. Unfortunately, with the relocation of the Kowloon-Canton Railway Terminal to Hung Hom in 1975, the old building was demolished in 1978, leaving only the clock tower, which stands alone on the waterfront of Tsim Sha Tsui and has become a landmark in the tourist area.
